Tadiyandamol Trekking

Terror
Place: Tadiyandamol
Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate
No Of People: 9
Total Cost per Head: 1050 INR (21.5 $ US Dollars)
Total Km: 10 Km (5 Km one way i.e 5+5)

Last weekend I had been to Tadiyandamol with my usual gang for a Trek. Shiva,[info]sudhi_11in and [info]theju missed out this time due to some personal reasons. Srinath and Yogesh joined us after a long gap.

We were initially 8 people, but Shiva dropped out and hence the number was reduced to 7, so we took only two tents. As usual I was the first guy to be picked up. Then went to pick up Jagadeesh, Harish and [info]ashwindevadiga. Once we reached [info]suz_me house we came to know Srintha and Yogesh are also joining us. Now we were 9 member. We realized that 2 tents would be insufficient for 9 people. We decided to go back to Jagadeesh house to get another tent.

When ever we plan for a trip and invite people to join us, we get this usual reply as "I have already been to that place!!!" For some reason though I feel this very strange because for me every trip is different, the chit that that you have, the people you go along with, the jokes you make etc etc is totally different for each and every other trip. And that's a reason I never say no for a trip just because I have seen that place earlier. For me the whole journey that matter not only that place. Even if its the same place, Even if its the same company I would still love to travel

Jungle Mount Adventures

Bull
I am back from my last trip of the summer season. I had been to Coorg with my colleagues last weekend.
Jungle Mount Adventures is where we stayed. This place is run by a person called Sagar Ganapathy. We were 9 of us. We had booked a Templo Traveler

They have two packages for the taking, One for 950/- Rs which includes Camping, Food, Camp Fire, Canoing. The other package is 1500/- Rs which includes Camping, Food, Camp Fire, Rappling, Mountain Drive in a 4X4 jeep. Please note the cost is only for one day, anything that you order for the next day will be billed. The snacks served during camp fire is not covered in this, you need to pay more for that.

How do we reach this place? ha please don't ask me, we roamed all around Coorg to reach here. Just in case if you are going here then make sure you take the exact path you need to follow to reach there in one go.

We left Bangalore on Friday at 12:00 in the night. We has already finished our dinner by then. By the time we reached the camp was around 8:00 in the morning. The reason we reached so late was because we were lost trying to find this place. There are no sign boards at all to guide you.

The place still needs to develop a lot, there's nothing much to see in this place, there's One Bamboo Hut, Two Cottage and One Tent House. Every one were tired by the time we reached. We were shown our rooms. We were alloted two rooms in a cottage, one for the girls and one for the guys. We took some rest and then had our breakfast.

The rooms are too very small, just enough space for the bed and your bag. There's no fan, Electricity is subjected to availability. There's a gas geyser for hot water. Make sure you take all the junk food you need. Odomos is a must. In the night you are accompanied by a hell lot of insects and mosquitoes. The water is also dirty and its not flowing water its nothing more than a pond.

After breakfast we went in the 4x4 jeep for the rappling, the ride was good in the open jeep. The weather was not so bad as Bangalore. The ride was about 15 min before we reached the waterfall. Only 5 us did the rappling, the rest backed out for various reasons. The rappling looked easy but once i was half way through i looked below and its was scary.

After the rappling we went for the Mountain ride. This ride was amazing. Hats of for the driver who pulled it off so beautifully. We reached the top of the mountain, Spend around 20 min there and then we were back.
By the time we reached the camp it was around 2:00 pm, we had our lunch and then went to sleep.

In the evening some went for the cannoing, some were playing cricket and i was relaxing doing nothing. Camp fire was ready by 8:30 pm, Dinner was ready by 9:30. The girls were feeling uneasy and uncomfortable. The heat, insects, mosquitoes were making the stay there more and more difficult for the girls. The bed sheet were also dirty and stinking.

After the dinner every one went to sleep. In the morning, some people again went for cannoning. We left the place at 9:00 am after all the financial settlement. The rates can be bargained if you go though a person who has already been there. From there we went to Tibetan colony and nisargadama. We reached Bangalore by 12:00 in the night.

Overall it was a nice trip though the camp Jungle Mount was not so great. I don't recommend it if you are going with girls. Total cost came up to 2800/- Rs per head.
