No Lunch

We were have a catering service serving us from past couple of months. But in the resent days many of our colleagues started complaining about the quality of the food. The food committee finally decided to switch over to a new catering service.

The old caterer was informed yesterday about termination of this contract from coming Monday and that today will be his last day... That's since the contract with the new catering service will start from Monday only

But I guess the old caterer got angry with the fact that his contract was terminated did not send any food today.

People waited till 1:00 but still there are no food served. When the HR called the old catering service at 1:00 only then they came to know that no food is arriving today....

HR sent a mail that we need to manage today's lunch by ourselves since its too late for any alternative arrangements.

So today the whole office went out for having lunch....

And we as usual went to Hyderabad Biriyani for a delicious Chicken Biriyani :)

Lunch time discussions

A lot has changed since the first day i joined this company. Four years back the entire team had only bachelors; not a single married guy (except our manager)

Today for some reason I noticed that now only 3 guys are left who are still bachelors (including me); the rest got married and some even have kids.

Even the discussions during lunch time has changed, A lot of talk regarding prices of day to day commodities is now common. Discussions like price of Potato, Onion etc etc... Where to buy them, what's cheaper and and what not to buy.

Guys who are now having kids who are all set to enter their school life, have the Discussions regarding which school is better, the donations required and all the stuff like that...

Four years back the entire lunch discussions was more on Girls, Girl and more Girls He he :)

Me and my team mate went out today having decided to have only fruits for lunch.

We came out of the office, we were heading towards the fruit stall where we get a mixed platter of various fruits for just 15/- Rs.

As soon as we reached there my team mate suddenly pooped up a question as to have Fruits or Biriyani.

We both stood there for a second and changed our decision immediately to have Biriyani in place of Fruits now....

And as usual the Biriyani was wonderful in Hyderabad Biriyani.

He he :)
