We were have a catering service serving us from past couple of months. But in the resent days many of our colleagues started complaining about the quality of the food. The food committee finally decided to switch over to a new catering service.

The old caterer was informed yesterday about termination of this contract from coming Monday and that today will be his last day... That's since the contract with the new catering service will start from Monday only

But I guess the old caterer got angry with the fact that his contract was terminated did not send any food today.

People waited till 1:00 but still there are no food served. When the HR called the old catering service at 1:00 only then they came to know that no food is arriving today....

HR sent a mail that we need to manage today's lunch by ourselves since its too late for any alternative arrangements.

So today the whole office went out for having lunch....

And we as usual went to Hyderabad Biriyani for a delicious Chicken Biriyani :)

All the people in Office are being divided into four houses.

Red House
Green House
Purple House
Yellow House

I belong to the Green House. The criteria for getting into each house is unknown, May be they have randomly picked us up. Yesterday the list was put up in various place in the Office premises with list of people belonging to each house.

What's purpose of doing this is also unknown. We did ask our HR what's behind this colored housing concept. She only said we need to wait and see....

While the speed at office was a mediocre 289kbps i recorded a good speed at home, 2129kbps.

By the way i am using Tata Indicom Broadband connection at home.

Our project is all set to go live in Production today. All coding done, tested and released. Entire team waiting for the BIG moment then suddenly they realize that some thing is missing. The Operations department wants a last minute change and they want it badly. It all happened due to a confusion caused by misinterpreting mails.

Now the whole earth has come down shattering on us. Entire Development team is on its toes but still no solution...

Many alternative solutions suggested but they are not happen. I am still in office, 8 PM in the night wondering what to do now. I went home yesterday at 1:00 in the night and today, does not seems like i am going home.

Just 12 Hours before the dead line set for the project to go online, i am told to do changes in the code again to accommodate some more changes but the entire design refuses the take this change at this time.

Time is running out and pressure mounting...

We asked them to verify some stuff. Next plan of action will now depend on there reply now. That will take another one hour, in the mean time i will have to finish my dinner.

Hope some miracle happens and at least today i get to sleep properly.
